In the middle of the lagoon of Taha'a, situated on Motu Tu Vahine (Island of the Woman), a private little island of only 10 acres, sits the Hotel Vahine Island. With white sand beaches, a magnificent coconut grove and a coral garden filled with underwater activity; here is where one can step outside of time and into a world of charm and serenity. From the hotel it is possible to watch the sun rise over Huahine, the Untamed Island, the sun set over Bora Bora, the magical island and all day long there are fabulous views of the Sacred Island.

Room Description

With only 9 rooms to preserve its intimacy and authenticity, this small-scale hotel uses pure Polynesian traditional building materials and techniques. Hotel Vahine Island offers 3 types of lodging: 3 over-water "farés" (local style bungalows) on the lagoon, 3 beach "farés", and 3 deluxe suite "farés". Over-water farés have glass bottom aquarium tables with special lighting for night observation and also allows fish feeding. All rooms offer excellent views of the lagoon and Bora Bora island.
